Rhode Island and Camping

I was supposed to be using some strange spatula shaped tool to clean grit out of the tires of a car, but the reason why was somewhat unclear. I seemed to be on a camping trip with a large number of people, and they were having burgers with melted candy fillings for lunch.
There was some point where I was in a house doing important things but I can't remember.
There was also something about a wheelchair and a trip to rhode island.
