I was stage manager for Play in a Day, but nobody remembered, so my job was given away. I decided to rehang lights, but I didn't get very far. I came downstairs and then some lady on stage yelled "anyone up in the booth". I told her I was now downstairs and she looked at me for a moment and then said "that can be fixed". Later, when I had taken back my position as stage manager, we were standing on the stage watching one of the rehearsals, but everyone kept yelling at me for not giving standbys early enough.
